Quick start for the GM
1. Account
Section titled “1. Account”Open the app and, on the Sign up tab, choose a username and a password. You can add an e-mail now or later in your profile — it lets you reset a forgotten password. If the server has Google sign-in, one button is enough.
2. Campaign
Section titled “2. Campaign”Under Campaigns, press New campaign, give it a name and a description — and you are its GM. A campaign has two modes: preparation (NPCs, monsters, encounters) and play at the Table.
3. Players
Section titled “3. Players”Open the campaign’s Settings: there you find the Code for players and the Link for players. Send your players either one — they join under Join with a code or simply open the link.
Players bring their own characters or make new ones. You can also make a character for a player: under Players, press Create character, and on its sheet use Link for a player. It is a one-time link: opening it hands the character to the player.
4. Preparing a fight
Section titled “4. Preparing a fight”- Monsters → Add from the bestiary: set up the campaign’s monsters with your own names and notes. Players never see this list.
- NPCs → New NPC: the people of your world with portraits and GM notes.
- Encounters → New encounter → Add combatants: campaign monsters, the bestiary, NPCs and the players’ characters. For each combatant choose what players see of the hit points — the exact number, a bar, a word like “hurt”, or nothing. A combatant can be added hidden and revealed later.
5. The fight
Section titled “5. The fight”- In the encounter, press Start the encounter — the fight appears on everyone’s screen.
- Players enter their initiative or roll a d20 — until the first round starts. Roll Monster initiative for the monsters.
- Start round 1, then Next turn. The player whose turn it is sees “Your turn!”.
- Hit points: select one or several combatants and deal damage or heal. Temporary hit points and death saves are there too.
- Finish the fight when it is over.
6. Rolls
Section titled “6. Rolls”Roll straight from a monster’s card (attacks, damage, saves) or in Dice — for example 1d20+5, 2d6, 2d20kh1
(the better of two). Every roll has its own visibility: Everyone, GM only or Secretly.
7. On a phone
Section titled “7. On a phone”On a phone the bottom bar has Table, Combat and Feed; the other sections are under More. You can run the whole fight from a phone.
